For our office in Amsterdam Sloterdijk, we are looking for a:

Localisation Engineering coordinator
(Full-time, Hybrid – 40 hrs/week)

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Localisation Engineering Coordinator to manage the technical side of localization projects. You will be in charge of source preparation, file processing, and quality assurance to ensure high-quality output across print and digital formats. You will, work closely with project teams, suppliers, linguists and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Analyse new projects and define technical requirements, timelines, and feasibility
• Prepare, convert, and process source files for localization, in Adobe FrameMaker and other formats
• Handle complex file formats (FrameMaker, XML, HTML, InDesign, Excel, AI, EPS) and CAT-tool compatibility
• Automate workflows using scripts, macros, and Regex
• Perform technical, layout, and specification QA (PDF, print, and digital)
• Edit and finalize DITA/XML-based content and manage pre-press processing

Required experience & Skills:

• 2–3+ years of hands-on experience in localization engineering, or 6+ years’ experience technical publishing, print/multichannel communication (essential)
• Strong, proven experience with Adobe FrameMaker (essential)
• Proficiency with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Acrobat
• Understanding of XML, HTML, DITA, and workflows involving markup-languages
• Experience with QA for print-ready PDFs
• Working knowledge of Regex, scripting, or automation tools
• Excellent English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent working/thinking level
• Valid work permit for the Netherlands
